Re: What not to do - Case Sensitive Business Spaces
That makes sense. The folder could be "apps" and as long as you don't have a Business Space named "apps" you will never end up in the p-storm I did lol.

Love Maps Updates - Pointers on Optimization Options?
I'm thrilled about the stuff I'm seeing in the tool and learning through the video tutorials since having my major set of clients upgrading to 9.0. We are not deployed yet, but it's been mostly self inflicted pain lol. So kudos to the AIM team for great work. I have an application where I've used an...

Re: XML Serializer undefined error - 8.4 Install Service - Win 2022
That's cool and sorry I've been afk to miss your reply Jaymer. I'm curious as to why use additional software to start the control panel instead of just run the AIM/Tomcat stack as services? It's nice to see the real time output on the Control Panel, but otherwise I could use some more info why anoth...

Re: What not to do - Case Sensitive Business Spaces
Just as clarification here. I did not understand that the fine fellow who knew AwareIM who helped me set up this installation had renamed the Tomcat default webapps folder to my application name. I did request that because at the initial start down this road I didn't foresee any other applications. ...

Re: XML Serializer undefined error - 8.4 Install Service - Win 2022
Thank you for the reply Jaymer. I've only been working with AIM since 8.4 so for about 4 years. I suspect that makes me a new user;) The box has 16g ram. The reason I want to run as a service is so if the Win Server has to restart, then I don't need to log into RDP and run the Control Panel so that ...

XML Serializer undefined error - 8.4 Install Service - Win 2022
Got the new server up and running on Windows Server 2022 and got the license sorted out with Vladimir. Then used the InstallService.bat and verfied that the services were running after a reboot too. Everything was great until a few days later I tried to edit a form on a business object and got this ...

Re: What not to do - Case Sensitive Business Spaces
Actually its even worse. I now realize that the MyApp is the root business space and not "default" in the Tomcat folder. 4 years ago I thought I would only ever create one app I guess. Now do I create a new business space MyApp or hit full escape now? I guess this thread got started in the wrong spo...

What not to do - Case Sensitive Business Spaces
I bet this about the most obvious thing ever but I went and did it. So, just offering a word to the wise that in my 8.4 installation I initially created the business space MyApp for an example. Eventually, this got corrupted due do a few years of doing massive changes (I think) without updating and ...

EOL for IE - Expectations and ?
I'm very curious about how we expect AwareIM to handle if Internet Explorer gets nurfed by a Microsoft Update if there is the ability to use another browser for the config tool or what else we might expect?
I think I'm on 8.4 and looking forward to upgrading but what are the options and risks?

Re: XML Import - Trouble with single instance of nested object
I see some reads so I'm adding in my test bsv in case anyone feels like having a look. I did notice that there is the PARSE_XML function in the lastest version which may very well be the solution I'll need. Maybe I'll have to download the latest version and see how much work I'll be in for to update...

XML Import - Trouble with single instance of nested object
I imagine I'm overlooking something really simple here. I've created a test business space to trial out importing XML data and works great when I have multiple child objects but seems to fail when an object only has one. In the example below I have some CD's in an XML and child object LOCATION to st...

I get no one wants to be a negative nancy but I'm curious since I got it set up yesterday as to what is the cause of "slowing you down" that you guys experience? Maybe users can plan the workflow a little better knowing this?

Re: URGENT .. Setting up remote Configuration Tool, Please HELP
Decided to share my experience yesterday in setting this up for AWS/EC2. Here are my notes so I can do this again in the future as needed: Instructions for AWS/EC2 ************SERVER************* On the Host AwareIM server: I changed 3 lines in the BASSERVER.props file. Everywhere that made referenc...
