Re: FINDing BO in Reference of Same Object

Thanx Jaymer,

Yeah. I know that and generally try and avoid the M:M functionality in Aware and do implement an intermediate table.

Just tried to implement this quickly but as your rightly say..... not necessarily quicker.

FINDing BO in Reference of Same Object

There have been many various permutations and combinations of this and for all the previous scenarios I have found and answer. Except this one.... I have a BO called Employee Each Employee can have Visible Employees which is a Multiple Reference to Employee. So, we have two Multiple References in Em...

Re: Copying LIVE into TEST

I use the ESF Database Migration Toolkit to pull the Live production data off of a server to my local machine to test and analyse all the time.
It is eaasy once you stop using BASDB and BASDBTEST and have each BS in it's one DB.

V9 Error

Has anyone seen this error in V9 Please?

Any idea what is causing it?

Seems to be something with a Duration type but no idea how to fix :-(

Cannot invoke "com.bas.shared.utils.Duration$KendoDurationFormat.format(com.bas.shared.utils.Duration)" because "kdf" is null

Re: What not to do - Case Sensitive Business Spaces

The practice I use these days is to only ever create the initial DefaultApplication in BASDB ALL other Business Spaces are in their own DB. Additionally, as I run Aware V6, V8.5, V8.8 and V9 on my laptop, I PostFix every Business Spaces with the Aware IM Version... ie... Suppose my app is called MyS...

Re: EDIT Form From a Process

OMG! Thanx nhofkes for your reply.... That was not the issue as my EDIT was the last Action in the Process.... but... It was one of those situations where the more you learn the more you forget. The one thing I did not check… I was calling a process to Add New rather than Add Reference… Duh! 🥴 Fixed...

EDIT Form From a Process

This has cropped up many times over the years and has probably been answered but I have not been able to find a suitable solution or have forgotten . So, imagine you have a BO Form with a Reference Query on the form in with you can Add, Edit or Delete child records. If you EDIT that BO Form directly...

Dunno about Surface ARM/Snapdragon....

But I can say, Aware running on a M2 Macbook Air and Windows 11 under Parallels is fantastic. Just saying 😉

SOLVED: Images Rotated in Report

Ok... Seems like I have fixed it.... I added -set `exif:Orientation` `1` to the magik mogrify command and it seems to have corrected the problem. ie.... EXECUTE PROGRAM 'magick mogrify -set `exif:Orientation` `1` -format jpg C:\TempImage\'+FILE_NAME(PictureItemForAnswers.Picture)+'.'+FILE_EXTENSION(...

Re: Data Export Problem

I have also been wrestling with the Export to Excel. In the end I resorted to copy and paste direct from the Grid into Excel. It works, Kendo supports this and it keeps the correct formatting. Its not an elegant solution, but it is a work-around DM me and happy to share. Haven't got time to build a...

Re: Data Export Problem

Thanx guys.

Resorted to a mixture of Stored Procedure and Python script....

Turned out to be a much better solution and faster.
