Is MAXID value shared when running multiple CSV's?
This is probably a dumb question, but when multiple CSV's are run on the same server is the MAXID value contained in the 'basdb' database, bas_idgen table, shared among the different databases that might be used?

Document Scanning from within Aware
We have been asked to integrate document scanning directly into an Aware app. Right now in the app the client is using they scan documents outside of app and then go link a document BO to the saved TIFF. I am wondering what is being done right now by any of you that have faced that. One of the possi...

Show records being accessed during a process
I know this would slow down a process substantially, but it would only be used for testing purposes. Is it possible to show the records that are being accessed during a process, either in a table (1 row per record) or on a full screen, while the process is being run? If it was possible it would even...

Re: Function similar to Magic's 'Exit' operation
I need to go back to this...
Where does the program being executed run?
When I try to run a video program (VLC.exe), that is installed on my PC, it looks like it is trying to execute on the server, not on my PC.
Is that the way it is supposed to work?

Re: Function similar to Magic's 'Exit' operation
Thanks BenHayat,
That was easy. I looked for that but apparently didn't look for the right wording.

Function similar to Magic's 'Exit' operation
Sorry to bring up Magic again, but I am wondering, for those of you familiar with it, if there is a function similar to Magic's Exit operation where I can call a specific program on a workstation while running Aware? In a Magic app I would just set an expression to the name/path of program and any p...

Re: Adding headers and footers to custom queries
johntalbot, We actually tried that and had the script set to: var oldHandler = config.dataBound; config.dataBound = function (e) { oldHandler (e); var widgetElem = $("#" + parser.m_widgetInfo.markupId)[0]; widgetElem.innerHTML = "<table class="blueTable"> <thead> <tr> <th>Client Name</th> <th>Case I...

Re: Adding headers and footers to custom queries
That’s awesome. I had that question and problem three years ago, with no solution. So I gave up on custom queries for a long time. Thanks PS. How many more these goodies can you dig up? Jaymer, have you had any luck with this? I tried it and just get repeating headers on each line still. Here is wh...

Re: Change Font Size for Grid Attributes
As I look at this some more I think I can do what I want with a customer query. But when I try to create a template from the BO Presentations tab I get the following: An error has occurred. See error log for more details. Reason: com.awaresoft.awareim.configtool.editorparts.FormSectionDesignPartcann...

Change Font Size for Grid Attributes
On an app I have clients using tablets as well as their desktops. On the desktop the monitors are big enough that everything looks just fine on the query grids. But on tablets, specifically iPads, things get squished together and the text for the attributes gets cutoff. I know with CSS we can change...

[SOLVED]Generate Records using a loop
I have a Dates BO that I want to generate records for by entering a Beginning Date and an Ending Date. I want to increment the beginning date by 1 until it reaches the end date and generate a record for each of the dates. If that makes sense to anyone, how can I do that in Aware? I found a MySql scr...

Re: Unable to edit/view unresolved object on Process
I figured out the issue. It is with the ...AND ClientNotes.NoteType IS UNDEFINED... Turns out that when the data for this BO was imported MySQL objected if there was not an actual NoteType assigned to each record, even if there wasn't one in the original data. So, we had to create a blank NoteType. ...

Re: sorry, but this forum software is starting to piss me of
Over the last few days this has become very annoying. I think it took me 4 times to get one post entered and sent because it kept returning to the login screen. This discussion though reminds me of what seems to happen on the Magic user forums. About every year and a half a thread gets started that ...
