The subject describes what LIRU is.
In the interim what about an autocorrect item to expand LIRU (if you are using a Mac - dunno haw Win handles that)

Re: Q - Alternative to LoggedInRegularUser
I notice when you expose an object in context via an Aware IM REST service it shows all related objects and their attributes (which can be rather huge). I suspect (but I'm only guessing) this could mean that offloading attributes from LoggedInRegularUser to a related BO would NOT speed processing u...

Re: Q - Alternative to LoggedInRegularUser
why do you care if there are 10 or 1000 fields in your LoggedInRegularUser (LIRU)? One of the pluses of using LIRU is that it is ALWAYS in context. If you create a diff. object, you will always have to do a FIND MYObj where user = xxxx for every process that has to read / update it. bruce At the mo...

Re: Query Refresh & Actions (That's not right...)
Hi Bruce
I'll look into that, but I was wanting to check if this is a known limitation or a bug.

Re: Q - Alternative to LoggedInRegularUser
In your Object rules, there is an option "Do Not Check Referred Objects" check this on all your objects rules. Only "uncheck" if you really, really, really, have to - this will speed things up big time in complex apps Thanks I'll bear that in mind. I'm still interested in the impacts +/- on the ide...

Q - Alternative to LoggedInRegularUser
I'm mulling over the LoggedInRegular user issue and how creating too many references to objects in it can slow the server down. I also have noticed that it triggers any rules that are on the Regular User object. I was wondering if an alternative would be to create a reference BO to the RegularUser a...

Query Refresh & Actions (That's not right...)
I have noticed an issue with query refreshing. If Panel Operations/Buttons that relate to the query that are conditional on a value of a related BO, these do not refresh when the query refreshes. See attached BSV. Create two Entities from the Menu Bar. Make one a Building, make the second a Person. ...

Re: Non Persistence and Death
I'm not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but I have used a NP BO to pass variables between processes. I can see how that would work as it is being passed along the chain of process so presumably doesn't ever come out of the context. I was looking at it to set a search element in a ...

I very much doubt you will find any joy with what you are trying to do using NP BOs.

Non Persistence and Death
I'm looking at Non Persisted BOs as an alternative to writing all my variables to the LoggedInRegularUser and instead using a (or more than one) Non Persisted BO My question is at what point does a Non Persisted BO get extinguished? I was aiming to use it to keep multiple panels on a VP in sync, but...

Re: Pick From Shuts Down a New BO Form
I have taken a different approach and attached the PICK FROM to a Business Rule on the BO. This means that the original BO saves and then the PICK FROM is shown.aware_support wrote:I think the only workaround is not to show a new record in a popup window.

[SOLVED] Pick From Shuts Down a New BO Form
I have a Form Wizard that requires an Add New Reference. The most efficient way for the user to create this new reference is via a PICK FROM where the user selects a number of records and these records are created. The problem is that the PICK FROM closes the previously open form. Is there a way to ...

Google Maps AutoComplete
I'm currently trying to decide on the best approach to manage the complexity of international address formats in my app. I had thought that perhaps it might be easier to rely on the work already done by others with a deeper interest in the subject (i.e. Google). Has anyone used Autocomplete for Addr...

Docs - Folders v Database
Ive seen comments about database sizing becoming a consideration when storing documents in AIM but I wondering what other risks versus benefits exist in the folder versus database. For example I would have thought one attractive aspect of the database route would be the ability to place the database...
