Re: Display name on form based on choice made for another attribute
Thanks for all the help so far! I managed to do the referened attribute and the shortcut so that I can display these in the form. Works like a charm! My remaining issue is that the ID's the user can pick from should be filtered beforehand, based on the users affiliation. The user should only be able...

Set attribute based on when the user logges in?
I am wondering if it is possible to set an attribute with a rule and/or a process that will run when the user logges in? Or maybe when the query is run? My query is an EXEC_SP, and I use input control in the panel operation where the user can select year. But I would like the initial value to be cur...

Re: Accessing tables i different schema
Mark, I am not too familiar with APIs, what benefits would I get from doing that compared to an external table? What I am trying to achieve is to fetch som data from an external table because I need to check data in the application against information in this table. It kind of works with external ta...

Re: Accessing tables i different schema
Follow up question:
If I need to make it an existing external.. The table has been created both in test and prod AIM database - how to solve this, do I need to connect to just one of them?

Re: Accessing tables i different schema
Thanks for the link! Since it's in the same database as the tables made in Aware, I was hoping I could get to it some other way than external:) But then I will just have to see if I can live with the limitations.

Accessing tables i different schema
Is it possible for me to get access to a table on the same server as the ones made in Aware IM, but a different schema, and if so, how? It is a temp table that I am planning to use for some needed relationships. It's created directly in the database (ssms), and it does not "pop up" in the configurat...

Re: Display name on form based on choice made for another attribute
So, I think I figured out the shortcut path, but I am wondering if I am thinking in the right direction about how to display the correct value in the form based on the ID chosen by the user.. Am I right thinkin I would need a query that fetches the belonging name for the ID chosen? And if so, any ti...

Re: Display name on form based on choice made for another attribute
Yes, I have so far used a text field with a drop down based on a query on the related BO. But I will try doing what you suggest, sounds like a good idea.
Thanks a lot for the tip and the links!

Display name on form based on choice made for another attribute

I would like the associated name for this attriute, found in the same table, to be displayed automaticly on the form when the user have chosen the ID. Is this po...
