Did this ever get resolved? I need to do something very similar and want to avoid any traps.
Thanks,
Jim

Re: Call process from Query Column Value
Thanks Union, I will take a look at that. One thing the client just told, that I didn't even think about, is that the way I am doing it with the render script is causing the cursor to change to an edit type symbol when the mouse is moved directly over the grid cell value. I am not quite sure what to...

Re: Call process from Query Column Value
Thanks Bruce, that works perfectly.
I did change it from a 'dblclick' to just 'click' and it works just the way I want it.

Call process from Query Column Value
I have a query that looks something like this: Name Total Reports Open Closed In Progress Locked Mickey 5 3 2 Minnie 4 1 2 1 Is it possible to click on the value in one of the columns and have a process run? So, if I click on the 5 in the Total Reports column for Mickey a process will run that calls...

Re: Avery Labels
I have a need to print labels for a client on sheets (3 x 10, 30 labels per page) and ran across this thread. Have there been any improvements in options for this? I don't mind the idea of just dumping a csv and using a third party app to actually generate the labels. But, I would like to automate i...

Re: Image Attribute from External View
So, how do you show an image then that is contained in a view?
If the answer is to create a shortcut, that defeats the actual purpose of having the view to begin with, which is to speed up the display of records in a table that link to other tables.

Re: Image Attribute from External View
I did the following: 1. Created a view from several tables created by Aware IM. One of the tables has a picture attribute Stored In the database. The actual table definition shows two attributes: 1)Picture_DOCDATA - Datatype Image 2)Picture_DOCTYPE - Datatype varchar(200). 2. Created a new BO with D...

Updating BSV on remote server - issue with views
I am curious how this is being handled by others… I do the development for a client’s app on my server, export the bsv and then copy it to the client’s server, where I import it and publish the new version. This works pretty well. I ran into an issue though. If I create a view on my server and then ...

Image Attribute from External View
I have a view that was created from several BO's joined together. One of the attributes is an image. When the view was imported into the BO the image generated two attributes: Image_DOCDATA type: Binary Data Image_DOCTYPE type: Plain Text The images in this particular case come from user selected Ic...

Re: How to know what is in context?
Thanks Jaymer, I see the difficulties, but shouldn't there be one unique value to a segment; whether it be product, employee, or who knows what? All I need is that unique value be available someplace. Once I have that I can format the following query however it needs to be done. If Aware is smart en...

How to know what is in context?
I am running into a wall with understanding how to know what is in context at a given point in time. Here is the situation(s): I am displaying a pie chart in a query. I can do this in two ways: 1. Create a Summary Table that will end up with one record for each of the possible segments on the chart....

Re: Tree View Question
I tried putting the Employee.ID into a session variable, but had the same issue of knowing which Employee.ID it was actually putting into my session variable. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't.
