Timeline in calendar query

I'm creating an application for planning different projects of people working at a company. Each project can have multiple people involved in them and every person can be involved in multiple projects.

I'm using the Timeline Day feature to display every person and their projects in a query, which works fine when there is only one person in a given project. But when I add another person to an existing project, that project completely disappear from the query, instead of it showing up for both people like I want to.

I have tried to do this in version 8.4 and 8.6 without getting it to work.

If anyone knows a solution to this problem it would be greatly appreciated.
