Just contemplating what anyone who is using AWS ec2 instances are doing for backing up both their environments and the data/ associated external files with aware etc...?
I'm sure its probably been discussed before but can't find it.

Are you using Linux or Windows Cal?
For Windows I use Cloudberry Backup.
For Windows I use Cloudberry Backup.

For our production environment, i take the normal RDS snapshots, EC2 snapshots and then a o/s level mysqldump (via a custom script) which then journals it across to a private S3 bucket.
Avid Linux user....

RDS uses the aws nightly backup, retaining 14 days worth, and we keep 3 x monthly ones
