Stored Procedures Don't Get Copied?

Post by numberz »

Hi and TIA.
I'm not DB savvy, so I have a question about Maria.

I created a new BS in AwareIm, using a new database... then imported an existing bsv into it.
None of the Stored procedures got copied to the new BS.

I also noticed that I can't copy the Stored procedures?

Is there an easy way to make a duplicate BS, complete and identical?

Stored procedures do get copied if you define them in the properties of a business space version.

But there's no way to move them from Maria to the BS?
Or can I just create each of them, then delete the ones from Maria?

I never put them in the BSV. Mainly because I can never clearly understand how that is supposed to work.

I add all of my SP directly to the DB manually.... And, Edit them directly in the DB
Cheers,
Mark

When stored procedures are stored in a business space version they are applied to the underlying database when the business space is published for the first time.

Is there a video or visual that show us how to do create and store the stored procedures in AwareIM ? Because if it's simple enough I would see no need to store them outside of AwareIM. TIA

  1. Double click your Business Space
  2. Then click three dots button on Database scripts option in Business Space Version
  3. Click Add link text for add SQL scripts in Database Scripts dialog box
  4. Next, click Add link text for add SQL statement as you want
for details, I show the visual like below and hope you can understand it.

Mark, thanks.
But as per my original post, what would you do if you wanted to make, say, a "sandbox" version BS, completely separate from the original?
Re-create all SPs?

Indeed I would Harry....

Of course I have ALL of the SP for any app saved as .sql files.

So, even it there is, say, 20 Stored Procedures for an app.... take 5 minutes to load them up into a new or temporary DB
Cheers,
Mark
