Moving Aware Application

Post by denisv »

I have a client that needs to retire their existing server and replace with a new one. We have an Aware Runtime application on this server. Can you confirm that the following will allow move of application:

a) App is MSSQL based
b) Install app on new server
c) Restore back-up from Old SQL Databases (BASDB and Test) to new Server

Will the licensing be maintained.

Thanks

No, it won't. You will need to apply for the new product key.

Can you confirm that I will be able to restore the database from SQL server 1 to SQL server 2 even with the need for new product key as the data import / export mechanisim is simply not an option due to the speed of the process.

Can you assist:

a) Installed Awareim from my compiled setup and worked fine with empty system
b) Services etc all worked fine
c) Adjusted Timeouts and memory allocations fine
d) Restored backup of system from current live server due to be retired
e) Now when I lo on I get an error

It appears to be a TOMCAT error and will forward screen shot
