Is there a way of omitting the initial message "Please select the required operation from the menu." in the Visual Perspectives/Main Page/Layout section without changing the settings to "Custom Page" and having the menu type not changing to "Tree-like"?

You can substitute the message for another, but can you actually omit it completely? If you use the "Custom Page" settings then the menu type changes to "Tree-like" automatically. Is there a way of keeping the menu as "Standard" while using "Custom Page" in the Main Page section?
