Conference Session - CSS
Conference Session - CSS
I'd be willing to do a workshop/demo/Q&A on CSS.
I wouldn't be where I am today if Vlad wouldn't have taken time to show me the Chrome inspector (in a zoom call) and how to look at stuff.
Obviously, this isn't for the entire group. And the schedule is set, so this would be extra.
I don't know the knowledge level of the attendees, so this is only to break the ice to show people who have never dug into screens and seen how the CSS can easily alter the UI. This is different from show and tell, where we could see neat things done with CSS. Its for those who are traditionally afraid or ignorant of CSS and AwareIM.
Not intending for this to be recorded in the proceedings. A bonus for those few attending who need this.
Post here if you're interested and we can let Mark sort out any necc. details.

Re: Conference Session - CSS
Being in Australia, I can't get to Tampa. Being ignorant of CSS, I'd be interested in seeing a recording (if at all possible). Perhaps could be an addition to the product video tutorials (CSS for dummies).

Hi Jaymer,
I'm at the conference and would love to see your bonus CSS-demo

Re: Conference Session - CSS
Well. 1 person would be easy
Usually there’s a dinner - so that knocks out that night.
And then we drink (most nights )
So will have to see the exact plans when we get closer.
Also Need to see if lunch is included each day by the hotel. Mark usually sets that.

Ditto. I can't even spell "CSS". Always ready to fill my brain with more useful info.

Re: Conference Session - CSS
You will see a lot of CSS.... Have some very cool JS to show also.
While really diving deep into CSS is a like University Degree in itself.... think about the work Jake has done......
You can do a LOT of really cool looking stuff without much effort. Additionally.... Chat GPT basically will give you
much of what you need.
For example... I wanted a simple Dashboard screen with Wagin Defect Stats displayed....
Then I wanted the additional code to put a nice blurred blue surround each tile as I hover over it....
Chat GPT gave me both in like 1 second each.... basically cut and paste from then on.
Will demonstrate at the Conference...
Also, Uyanga's Session on the Tuesday will be very interesting for you...

Re: Conference Session - CSS
I’m trying to focus on how someone gets started specifically with aware.
Or if you see something on a form/grid, how can you change it.
Not so much a whiz-bang effect like a dashboard.
And it has to explain things about Chrome Inspector and how to get started there… as my target audience probably has never looked at that.
