I found this screen cap I mocked up over a year ago.
Don't recall if I ever posted it, but this had been talked about on the forum.
You put a grid on a form, then format all the properties nicely, THEN you want to push those properties UP into the original field's properties in the BO.
... so if you place that same grid elsewhere on a form, they will look the same.
This was my idea:
Update a reference back into BO from Form / vice-versa

Re: Update a reference back into BO from Form / vice-versa
Is this a suggestion for an improvement or is it already an existing functionality?
It seems certainly useful.
The other way would also be useful. I have come across situations where I created one or more forms and then changed the properties of the attribute. This immediately results in a prompt that the changes will not be reflected in the form unless the form is also (manually) adjusted. It would be helpful if that could be done more automatic. This seems to be the first item in the right-click menu of your mockup "Inherit definition from BO Attribute", but then triggered directly from the attribute itself rather than from the form.
